Don was more then an employee at Washburn And Son, he was family, he did alot for this company, Don at one point owned Coreys Driving School, it was a long time running joke in the company that Don taught Mike Washburn how to drive, and Mike taught Don how to operate equipment. We felt that it was a fitting tribute to dedicate his favorite truck to him. We hope he is still trucking up above, we love you Don.

Donald B. Wyse, 71, adored husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend reached the end of his journey on Wednesday, September 10th, but leaves behind many bright and memorable trails. Don was born on March 3, 1943 in Lewiston, a son of Charlotte May (Wyse) Walton and stepfather George Adelbert Walton. He was raised in Auburn and was a 1961 graduate of Edward Little High School, after which he served 4 years in the U.S. Navy as a Sea Bee. Don was a police officer for the Auburn Police Department followed by a long career in transportation as a tractor trailer truck driver for several area companies. In 1994, he bought Corey's Driving School where he taught basic driver's education training, as well as provided instruction and safety training for tractor trailer, RV, and 15 passenger vans. Don had many interests, including: travelling, motorsports, golf, "tinkering", and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Tranquil Masonic Lodge No. 29 in Auburn. Don travelled extensively throughout his life and continued that love of travel after retirement with his wife Lucy. They enjoyed several years of cruising across the country in their motor coach, visiting amazing places from coast to coast, and made many new friends along the way. Don is survived by his wife Lucy (Bell) Wyse of Auburn; son, Donald and wife Jennifer of Nahant, MA; son, Derek and wife Susan of Newmarket, NH; stepson, Brian Lester and wife Andrea of Nashua, NH; stepson, Christopher Crockett of Lewiston; stepdaughter, Michelle Yonuss and husband Shane of Lewiston; nephew, Bruce Helmuth of Wales; grandchildren, Aidan and Amelia Wyse of Nahant, MA, Brayden and Levi Helmuth of Wales, Brandi Aoki and her husband Masato of Japan, Eric Lester of Boston, MA, Raquel and Calla Lily Crockett of Auburn, a step great-granddaughter Karin Aoki of Japan; his loyal golden retriever Bruno; and many dear friends
